Gorean Roleplay and moderating

I have been playing in gorean sims for almost a year now.  I must say I have enjoyed the experience immensely.  However, it comes with a caveat, and that is the OOC drama (read fighting), that goes on in that genre.  I was an admin back in Deadwood and had to deal with griefers and whiners.  I can deal with that, I can even deal with the folks who mix their IC/OOC, its a learning opportunity.  However in Gor, for whatever reason, we seem to have more than our fair share of asshats.  I remember once in Clearchus I was called to mod a dispute between raiders of another sim with several of Clearchus' men.  It was extremely hard to concentrate as these guys were calling each other every kind of name they could think of OOCly.  Tempers were fraying, including mine.  I finally had to threaten them, by telling them that the next one who spoke OOCly was going to get booted out of the sim, and I included Clearchus men in that warning.  I was polite, but firm on the outside.  Inside my mind was screaming, "You bunch of juvenile cock chafers, shut the fuck up!"  *sighs* I guess its good I did not say that at the time but, Priest Kings preserve us, some of these people get on your last freaking nerve.
In any case, being a mod in a gorean sim is a tough job, because not only do you have your own people to contend with, but as I just referred to, you have any given number of folks dropping by to pay an unwelcome visit.  Now, what is the purpose of this little diatribe you ask?  Well, quite frankly, I just wanted to get that off my chest.  I have seen really great moderators/admins who get burned out having to deal with such asshattery.  Now, as a manager in Real Life, I expect my people to bring me a solution when they come to me with a problem..  Same goes here, so, one solution for gorean sims is to have a rotation of moderators.  Perhaps a team of 7 or 8 people, depending on sim size that rotate active and inactive.  Perhaps 2 people are off while the other 5 are active, though all of them will need access to any forum or such that the sim uses for communication between mods..  Just a thought, perhaps I might even pass that one along.
